If you are a higher level student, surely in more than one subject you have heard about this type of format. In this post we clear up all the doubts you may have about them, what are the APA Norms and how to cite with this format.
The APA Norms originated back in 1929, when a group of professionals such as psychologists, anthropologists, and administrators agreed to establish a set of standards or rules that help to codify various components of scientific writing in order to facilitate the understanding of the reading.
Its use allows the article to be easily accessible to professionals around the world, interested in the area of work.
Relevant elements in the APA Norms
The APA Standards focus on defining the uniform use of elements such as:
Margins and format of the document. Punctuation and abbreviations. Letter sizes. Construction of tables and figures. Reference citation.
The latest version of the APA standards corresponds to the 7th edition, this manual has more than 300 pages. In addition, it is renewed year after year. One of the main reasons for using them in projects is that internationally it is one of the most accepted standards.
