Argentine politics: was born on March 25, 1795 and died on October 20, 1838 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was the wife of Juan Manuel de Rosas, who was the Federal Restorer. She was his most faithful follower and was vital in promoting the Restoration Revolution. She also presided over the Mazorca, which served as a kind of secret police. With her husband’s victory in the Desert Campaign in 1834, she received the title of Heroine of the Holy Federation.
