Each person has a series of ideas and personal convictions that make up their general vision of life. Such ideas and convictions are the foundation of a mentality. It could be said that the mentality of each individual is the way of understanding his existence.
The mentality, both individual and collective, depends on the cultural tradition, the education received within the family and the social and historical circumstances of each era. In some cases, an individual’s way of thinking may be related to their genetic heritage.
capitalist mentality
The vital approach of some people is governed by a capitalist vision. If they invest, they seek the highest possible profit. Normally they do not spend everything they have because they attach importance to saving and investing. They believe that it all comes down to buying and selling and try to buy low and sell high. In short, the projects that are completed are valued according to profitability criteria.
conservative mindset
There are people who cling to traditional values to give meaning to their lives. Those with a conservative mindset place a special value on family, religion, discipline, and the customs of their ancestors.
Precisely, they are conservative because they want to maintain and preserve traditions in the face of new developments (the conservative individual normally adopts an attitude contrary to social changes and new trends).
Winning and losing perspective
The winner thinks and acts with one objective: to be the best and to surpass his competitors. The loser feels defeated beforehand and perceives himself as a victim. Both one and the other start from a previous state of mind that determines the success or failure of their projects.
The entrepreneurial vision
The entrepreneur has unique mental schemes. He is determined and self-confident, he does not give up easily and is willing to sacrifice himself to achieve his goals. Generally, the entrepreneur is creative, has leadership qualities, is not afraid of failure, learns from mistakes, takes risks, and sees opportunities where others see problems.
The topics of the mentality of each people
Each town has certain characteristics of its own and that is why we speak of an Argentine, Spanish or British mentality.
According to popular clichés, Argentines are passionate, meat lovers, carefree, arrogant, and soccer fanatics. Spaniards are happy, envious, expressive, siesta lovers and creative. Brits are punctual, pragmatic, competitive, keen on sports betting and well mannered.
