What is Sanction:
As sanction is called the penalty that establishes a law or norm for anyone who violates or fails to comply with it. The word, as such, comes from Latin holy, sanctiōnis.
In Right, it can be said that the sanction is the consequence of a conduct that constitutes an infringement of the legal norm. Depending on the type of violation, there may be criminal, civil or administrative sanctions.
Likewise, it is called a sanction formal and solemn act by which the head of state confirms a law or statute. Hence, the approval or authorization of any legal act can also be called a sanction.
For its part, in International right, sanctions are the measures that one State takes against another unilaterally, and which can be economic, diplomatic or military. As such, the objective of this type of sanctions is to pressure or coerce the other State to comply with certain obligations or give in to a negotiation.
Administrative sanction
An administrative sanction is the reprisal that the State imposes on a person as a consequence of illegal conduct. In this sense, it is a sanction that comes from an administrative authority, whose purpose is eminently repressive and that, to be fulfilled, must follow an administrative procedure.
Tax penalty
A fiscal penalty is the administrative penalty that is legally applied to whoever commits an infraction related to formal or substantial obligations of a tax nature. This penalty, as such, may be of a financial nature or may result in the limitation of rights.

A pecuniary sanction is known as a penalty that is imposed through the payment of a fine to the State as punishment for the crime or infraction committed. As such, it is the lightest sanction that Criminal Law can impose.
Social sanction
Social sanction is a concept from Sociology to refer to the reactions that are registered in the face of certain behaviors considered negative or that violate the rules of coexistence within a society. Hence, these behaviors receive a social sanction, which functions as a method of social control, but they do not necessarily have a legal sanction.
