The concept of scenography is used in our language to designate the art that consists of designing and setting up scenic decorations, that is, those that correspond to artistic shows such as a play, a movie, a television program, a recitalamong others.
It is also called as scenery set of sets, made up of furniture, curtains, lights, and various objects that have the function of representing the place in which the scenes of a movie, a television program, a play take placeamong others, and that are precisely mounted on a television set, on a stage, or on a film set.
The plays, the movies and all the programs that are broadcast on television need the presence of a set design to give realism to the story or also to situate those who intervene in the air of a program. Because not only a television series will require a set design, but also a newscast, an entertainment program or a talk show require a set design. Normally those that correspond to these last televised shipments are rather abstract and have furniture or panels that allow conductors and participants to sit or locate themselves in certain places.
The scenery is a very important element at the request of any show since it not only helps to give a greater realism to the story that is being told but also in some cases it turns out to be a captivating element for the public; for example, in those mega recitals offered by famous bands such as The Rolling Stones or U2, the staging offers another show apart from which the public is also very attentive. Unforgettable and impressive has been in this sense the scenery of the Stones during the tour to present the album Bridges to Babylon that just unfolded a bridge on the stage.
It is worth noting that normally a play, a movie or a television program require more than one stage design, while this situation is usually resolved using curtains, in the case of the theater, which quickly allows the attendees to change it, or panels and walls are also used.
