Borderline Definition

The term bordering we use it to designate that which responds to the characteristics of contiguous or borderthat is to say, that is and serves as a border between two nations, to cite one of the most common cases, or failing that for what has been located between two things.
Also, the concept of limitrophe allows to express that something is very close to something else.

As a consequence of the foregoing, the concept in question is widely used in the field of geography and mostly associated with the concept of limits.

On our planet, the countries that compose it are separated and particularized through the limits.
In some cases it may consist of an imaginary line that is stipulated and that has the purpose of marking the division, the separation of one state from another, or failing that, it is a real line. Many times rivers or other water flows are used to mark a limit between two territories.
That is to say, what happens or exists behind that line does not belong to the corresponding nation, therefore it will not be of its concern and jurisdiction.

Likewise, the boundaries delimit the regions and provinces within a sovereign state.

The need to demarcate the sovereignty of a nation over its territory is what has generated the provision of limits and therefore the creation of these concepts to designate such a state of affairs.

As a consequence of this, we must mention that the bordering areas are usually one of the most monitored and controlled parts of a country, because of course, in this way an attempt will be made to prevent illegal trafficking of any type of consumer goods, people and drugs, a scourge very typical of these times and that has found, in some bordering areas, deficient in terms of surveillance, a safe passage.

Lastly, it should be noted that border areas tend to be much more prone than other regions of the country to influence coming from the other side of the border.
